Static Blog Page

The theme is acting as if a page has been hard-coded to act as the WordPress site's "Posts Page". This is causing the set Posts Page (under Settings > Reading) to be circumvented by the hard-coded page and not display correctly (= does not match Visual Composer layout/HTML + content).

It is a handsome design, but I would like to use the custom framework that I built under a different page . The page I have designated under Settings > Reading includes a heading image and other content along with a blog object set to show 3 colomn x 9 articles. If you hit "Preview", even after updating multiple times, it shows what I refer to as the hard-coded Posts Page. But the HTMl represents my custom page when edited.

    Please advise.

Mate am confused? what you trying to achieve?

  • curodigitalmktg replied

I want to be able to set a specific page for my "Posts Page" under WordPress.

Under Settings > Reading, I have designated my  Posts Page as a static, specific page.
    <see attachment: ....Settings_Reading_Posts Page>

When I click that link in my menu in the live view, it presents a different page for blog posts than the one I have designated. It is almost as if the page that is showing is hard-coded on the back end to display, regardless of what you pick under Settings > Reading.

It is stuck at displaying "Blog Classic" that came with the theme.

Even when I am editing the custom page I created to act as my Posts Page, if I hit the Preview button, it will not show that custom page's code but will show the "Blog Classic" page.
    <see attachment: ...Backend Code

I am trying to stop that from happening... 8-)

    Hi,

Already Your default home page as >>  Home.

And Post page as >> Resource .

    What you need to change?

...I need it to actually USE the page I have assigned when I click on the link.....

I would like to use this theme on 10 more sites in the next 6 months, so I need it to work.
I may be missing something simple, so do excuse my ignorance.

    - if you look at the backend code within Wordpress for this page (.../resources), it IS NOT the code that the page is displaying
    - it is acting as if it is hardcoded to show "Blog Classic" that came with the theme.=============================================================

    Attached:
Resources_AS DISPLAYED = what displays when you go to .../resources
Resources_AS CODED = what the backend code shows it "should" be displaying

    Please advise.
